History, Memory and Narrative in Chinese New-immigrant Fiction
Supervisors
Summary
My thesis aims to explore the interplay of history, memory, and narrative in Chinese new-immigrant fiction. It will attempt to unravel how the memories of Modern China are reconstructed with visions of history by Chinese new-immigrant writers, from interpreting their novels and short stories, especially those about revolutions and post-revolution societies, their legends and myths, collective and personal trauma.
