Digital Technology: the cognitive impacts and implications for children/youth. What does this mean for education?
Children growing up this century have never known a world without technology. Media multi-tasking is now the social norm. This constant stream of stimuli has implications for children's social-emotional, cognitive and physical development, as well as their academic outcomes. It also poses profound new challenges for focusing and learning. This research will align to the Growing Up Digital (Australia) Project, with a focus on the cognitive impacts and implications for children and youth, and what this means for education.
