A bit about you


Training dates

To be a mentor, we make sure you have all the support you need to be a mentor, you get fantastic training and team activities that start in January. You must be able to attend these sessions to be part of the mentor team.

The required attendance dates are:

Thursday, 18 January 2018 To be confirmed Strategic planning part 1
Tuesday, 23 January 2018 9.00am - 12.30pm Counselling service training (option 1 - choose 1), or
Wednesday, 24 January 2018 9:00am - 12.30pm Counselling Service Training (option 2 - choose 1) exact start and finish times to be confirmed
Wednesday, 31 January 2018 To be confirmed Strategic planning part 2
Monday, 19 February 2018 To be confirmed Week O lunch - exact time to be confirmed
Oweek Meeting your mentees - time to be confirmed.
There will also be other dates and activities that will be discussed at the information session.

* Do you consent to a Working With Children Check to be undertaken if necessary. This process takes into account relevant criminal records, apprehended violence orders and completed disciplinary proceedings.
* Do you consent to your details being given to mentors, mentees and other parts of the University for purposes related to the peer mentoring program?
* Have you ever attended a 1-day mentor training workshop run by the Counselling Service?

* The Peer Mentoring program will keep you up to date by sending texts to your mobile phone. Do you consent to the University disclosing your personal information to a third party service provider engaged by the University for the purpose of transmitting SMS from the University to yourself?

Privacy statement: UNSW's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (the "Faculty") collects your personal information in order to provide you with services regarding the Faculty's peer mentoring program. It will also be used for statistical analysis of the peer mentoring program. The information collected will be accessible by University staff for the purpose of administering the peer mentoring program. The information collected will also be disclosed to third parties authorised by the University, including mentors and service providers, subject to the provision of you consent. If you choose not to provide the personal information requested, or to provide consent for disclosure of your personal information to authorised third parties, the Faculty may be unable to provide you with information concerning the peer mentoring program. You can request access to and the correction of information we hold about you by contacting the Faculty office. We handle your personal information in accordance with the UNSW Privacy Management Plan, which is available from Privacy Management Plan.
