Scholarships

Research students in libraryUNSW support postgraduate researchers by providing a variety of scholarships. These scholarships range from annual stipends, living allowances and tuition fee costs; to travel scholarships and supplements.

Scholarships are available to support both new and continuing postgraduate researchers.

Arts & Social Sciences scholarships and awards

UNSW Arts & Social Sciences also offer a selection of scholarship and awards to support postgraduate candidates across various disciplines, including:

International research candidates

The following scholarships are available for international research candidates wishing to undertake a higher degree by research at UNSW Arts & Social Sciences.


UNSW scholarships

  • International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS)
  • University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA)
  • Tuition Fee Scholarship (TFS) plus a Research Stipend

Russian Global Education Program

The Global Education Program is available to Russian citizen who wish to enrol in a research higher degree program at UNSW in one of five priority study areas including Education and Management in Social Sciences.

Upon completion of their studies, program participants must return to Russia and obtain employment in accordance with their qualification for three years.

Doing research can be costly and the Faculty provides assistance towards meeting those costs. In the research proposal that is part of your application you are required to address the costs of your proposed research.
