Students can choose from a variety of online Epigeum research training courses which are administered through Moodle (the University’s online learning management system).
The program is designed to support you through the early stages of candidature, with students recommended to complete the courses in the first 2 months. However, as a Higher Degree Research (HDR) student you can access these courses at any time.
A certificate of completion is generated for each course allowing you to build a portfolio of skills.
Our online courses are divided into three focus areas (in addition to PhD confirmation) based on the skills that you will attain:
- methodologies and methods
- communicating your research
- fieldwork and ethics
Each focus area will include a number of core online training courses (delivered via Moodle) and one or more face-to-face workshops, led by staff from across UNSW Arts & Social Sciences.
Please note that you are required to complete the online courses prior to attending the complementary workshops.
