In 2018, Excellence in Research of Australia (ERA), assessed the School’s research in Studies in Human Society at the highest possible rating of 5, signifying above world class.
Our academics contribute expert opinion and scholarly knowledge to many policy fields and we're renowned for our strong relationships with the international research community.
The School is active in theoretical and empirical research and receives regular funding from national competitive sources such as the Australian Research Council and individual research contracts from government and other organisations. The ARC has awarded its coveted Future Fellowships to four of our political scientists, one of the strongest disciplinary results in the country.
