The UNSW School of Social Sciences is a catalyst for social change, driven by world-class research and leading academics. We offer study options across a diverse range of subject areas within the Social Science, opening up a number of career paths for our students as initiators, contributors and pioneers of change. We also enable our academics, researchers and students to lead the change they want to see in the world.


Our undergraduate degrees provide students with foundational knowledge in communities, politics, the economy and their interaction on human relations.

Our honours programs combine features of undergraduate study and postgraduate research. Students develop their research skills and deepen their understanding in the subject area of their choice.

Our postgraduate programs can be taken at the master, graduate diploma or graduate certificate level. Our programs are designed to prepare students for employment.

We're active in theoretical and empirical research and receives funding from the Government and other organisations. Our graduates occupy leading positions in research institutes and academia.
