This project is a literature review to identify current and emerging issues, policies and modes and models of intervention to rapidly resolve the immigration status of non-citizens. The Review critically analyses and summarises findings of empirical research into, among other things: the impact on individuals of various immigration detention, monitoring and reporting arrangements, focusing on active case management approaches; the effectiveness of various interventions; and the cost effectiveness of detention and other approaches as used in compliance and removal operations.
