Data mapping for the Royal Commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse

The project is led by Associate Professor Leah Bromfield from the Australian Centre for Child Protection (ACCP) at the University of South Australia, and is a collaboration between the ACCP, the Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC) and the Australian Institute for Criminology. The project aims to establish whether and how secondary administrative data can be used to estimate the prevalence of child sexual abuse in institutions. Such data may include police reports, child protection notifications and working with children checks.
