Collaboration with City Future (Faculty of the Built Environment) for Human Services, Housing NSW. The research team benefited from extensive understanding of place-based community renewal, with CFRC arguably Australia's foremost dedicated academic research team in the field of social housing policy evaluation. Methodology used a mixed methods approach, combining a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods in order to present a balanced evaluation of the BSC initiative. This approach has previously been successfully employed by both City Futures Research Centre (CFRC) and the Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC), including CFRC research commissioned by Housing NSW to conduct the baseline survey of the BSC initiative where a mix of telephone survey and qualitative interviews was employed. The specification outlined for the final evaluation closely corresponded with the initial framework proposed by the City Futures team.
