Abstract: In the 1970s, Serbian migrant Stretan Božić began publishing books on Aboriginal themes under the name B.Wongar. Prior to being ‘outed’, it was assumed Wongar was Aboriginal. This paper historicises the Wongar controversy in light of Božić’s claims to ‘double vision’ and in relation to calls to decolonise migration history.
