Artificial Intelligence (A.I) is an increasingly common part of contemporary life. However, A.I is being introduced into education systems and schools much faster than research on its effects and regulation of its use.
This project aims to understand how the use of A.I creates new governance connections between education systems and technology companies. It involves studying autonomous machines and their influence on education policy-making and its implementation.
Expected outcomes will identify how A.I is introduced into educational governance and moves from software development to education policy adoption. Our research will provide scholars, industry and end-users with new knowledge about the opportunities and risks of using A.I in education.
