GERRIC at UNSW's School of Education is a leading centre for professional educators looking to help gifted students flourish.
Area of Interest: Education - COGE
The two-day Mini Certificate of Gifted Education is our most in-demand professional learning workshop, and has been revised and updated for 2021 with current research and new activities.
GERRIC will help you to:
- Identify gifted and talented students
- Differentiate the curriculum for your high-ability students
- Implement ability grouping or acceleration with your students
- Understand gifted education best practices
*Please note that attendance for all hours is mandatory . No partial attendance will be able to receive accreditation, so please plan your travel and commitments accordingly.
The Mini-COGE is designed for teachers and administrators currently working in schools. If you have another role, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire before registering.
This event is currently planned to be face to face with social distancing and Covid-safe measures in place. If we are unable to proceed with face to face delivery we will deliver the course online on the same dates and times.
We have been running our Mini-COGE Online Course since April with great success and have been working hard to make sure this format has the same highly-researched content, delivered in a way that works best for online learning.
Where is the Mini-COGE held and how do I get there?
The School of Education is located within the Morven Brown Building C20.
See the UNSW Australia Kensington Campus map here. If you’re not familiar with the campus, it can be useful to download the Lost on Campus app.
We recommend taking public transport whenever possible. Click here for public transport options. The UNSW Express 891 from Central Station will drop you at Gate 8, High St, a short distance from the Morven Brown Building. The return service (893) departs from the same bus stop.
Please note that if you choose to drive, parking is expensive: it will cost you around $50 per day. Limited pay-per-hour parking is available in the Botany St car park adjacent to the AGSM Building, on the upper levels as marked.
