A Global Comparative Study of Contemporary Iranian Literature

The project reveals how literature circulates in a globalized world and demonstrates the diversity generated by globalization processes. As a case study, Iran exemplifies a rich culture constrained by recent political changes and decentralized in diasporic communities.

This is the first comparative study to examine Iranian literature and their circulation on a global scale. It details how national and global literacy practices are connected in Iran, the Iranian diaspora in Australia, the United States and Western Europe.
