UNSW Honours Music Recitals 2019 // Natasha Atkins & Fiona Young

To Here and Now

Natasha Atkins and Fiona Young explore the lineage of Australian musical theatre, starting long ago with operatic arias, and finishing with a recent Australian work about a caterpillar...

Fiona and Natasha are creating a joint recital that follows a lineage of vocal music, exploring changes to Western narrative performance over time. With Fiona’s research exploring eighteenth-century London, and Natasha’s focusing on modern Australia, linking our recitals together to help portray this chronological progress of music is an exciting challenge. From classic opera hits to cheeky musical theatre numbers, we’ve got it all!
