with director Anthea Williams
Are you interested in taking a course where you're in a performance ensemble led by a professional director, designer and production manager? If so, this course is for you! Starting on 18 January 2021, Performance Production provides a unique opportunity to experience working on a production where we operate like a professional theatre company.
We’re very excited to announce that in 2021 the production will be led by the award-winning director Anthea Williams, who also happens to be UNSW graduate. Click to see Anthea's website with examples of her work.
If you want to find out more, join us for this information session led by course convener Dr Meg Mumford and the Creative Practice Lab team. In person and online!
If you can’t attend the session either in person or online, please email Dr Mumford: email@example.com

Director // Anthea Williams
Anthea Williams is an award-winning theatre and film director. Her work aims to foreground marginalised experiences by creating space for new and diverse voices. She often works with radical dramaturgies in order to privilege the relegated or forgotten. She has a particular interest in how silent histories impact upon the present.
Anthea specialises in developing and directing new work. She was Associate Director – New Work at Belvoir from 2011 to 2017 and Associate Director Bushfutures at London’s Bush Theatre from 2007 to 2011.
Anthea will work with a contemporary text and utilise physical, emotional and intellectual techniques to support the actors in finding a resonant and truthful performance, while encouraging the team to approach the work with a dramaturgical eye.
