Associate Professor Leanne Dowse is Chair, Intellectual Disability and Behaviour Support (IDBS), at UNSW and works to expand the body of knowledge and increase workforce capacity in the delivery of appropriate and effective services to people with an intellectual disability with complex and challenging behaviour.

Nirosha Boaden is a research assistant on the Intellectual Disability Behavioural Support (IDBS) Program. Nirosha is a social worker (Bachelor of Social Work/Bachelor of Arts), holds a Masters of Public Health and has experience in clinical youth early psychosis.

Mr Peter Conway

Mr Peter Conway is a consultant to the Intellectual Disability Behaviour Support (IDBS) program. Peter has over 20 years’ experience as a manager and behaviour support practitioner with NSW and QLD state government disability services.

Erin Cooney

Ms Erin Cooney

Erin Cooney is a Research Assistant at the Intellectual Disability Behaviour Support (IDBS) program at UNSW. Erin completed her undergraduate degree at UNSW, and holds a Masters in Human Rights and Political Science from the University of Manchester.

Dr Angela Dew is a Senior Research Fellow and Research Lead with the Intellectual Disability Behaviour Support (IDBS) program at UNSW and has over 30 years working in the disability field in direct service, management, teaching and research roles.

Isabella Dillon Savage

Ms Isabella Dillon Savage

Isabella Dillon Savage is a research assistant on the Intellectual Disability Behavioural Support (IDBS) Program. Isabella holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Masters of Development and is currently completing a Masters of Public Health. She has experience working in gender-based violence in Australia and Timor Leste.

Dr Shoshana Dreyfus

Dr Shoshana Dreyfus is a Research Associate on the Intellectual Disability Behaviour Support (IDBS) program. Shoshana is a linguist researcher and teacher who specialises in language disorder, discourse analysis and systemic functional linguistics.

Laura Hogan

Ms Laura Hogan

Ms Laura Hogan is a consultant on the Intellectual Disability Behaviour Support (IDBS) program. Laura Hogan is an Occupational Therapist (Bachelor of Applied Science), she also holds a Masters of Health Science (Developmental Disability) and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
