I work primarily on nineteenth- and twentieth-century poetry, with a particular focus on modernism. I have special interests in the intersection of philosophy and poetics, in the history and theory of versification, in literary cultures of publication and circulation, and in the adaptation of religious modes of thinking and writing in post-Romantic poetry. Very occasionally I even write about a novel.
I am interested in supervising research in nineteenth- and twentieth-century poetry and in modernism, broadly conceived.
