Dr Paul Evans is a senior lecturer in the School of Education at UNSW. His expertise is in educational psychology, particularly in relation to motivation, engagement, learning and teaching, and cognitive load. His research covers a wide range of domains and settings, including schools, music studios, and workplaces, and spanning childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.

Dr Evans teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in educational psychology, music psychology, and motivation. He is the program convenor for undergraduate and postgraduate Music Education programs. He supervises PhD, Master's, and honours level research projects in a range of areas related to motivation, engagement, and learning.
