Summary

My thesis investigates Aboriginal, African-American, Chinese, and female bushrangers in Australian history and social memory. From the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788 to the early twentieth-century, my thesis explores the relationship between these bushrangers and colonial ideas, society, and identity as well as the legacy of this history.
