Summary

My research examines the interdependent relation between the individual, other individuals and the rest of nature to understand the role of ontological security in action as the individual navigates an ecological and social terrain that has been destabilized by capitalism. By imagining a 'place' or locus of action, and better incorporating the role of ontological security in the process of action, the research seeks to understand why adequate action on climate change is still failing to occur.
