Efrosini Deligianni is a Lecturer of Greek studies at the School of Humanities and Languages, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, UNSW. Efrosini is a linguist specialising in Greek historical linguistics. Her research portfolio focuses on Greek syntactic change, as inextricably tied to sociocontextual and cognitive processing factors. Her future research is directed towards projects relevant to the Greek-Australian context, such as a portal of electronic resources on the study of Modern Greek, and a sociolinguistic study on shifting identity and language loss of Greeks and Greek Cypriots in Sydney. Her other academically related interests are historiography, translation and creative writing.
