Arts & Social Sciences success at the UNSW 3MT final

21 Sep 2017

Congratulations to Antoni Tsaputra, PhD candidate in the School of Social Sciences, for winning Third Prize (sponsored by Arc@UNSW and valued at $500) and the People's Choice Award (valued at $1,000) for his presentation at the 2017 UNSW Three Minute Thesis Inter-Faculty Final.

Twenty-two PhD candidates from across UNSW competed in this year's UNSW Three Minute Thesis Competition. Each competitor had just three minutes to give a compelling oration on their thesis topic that would engage an intelligent but non-specialist audience.

Antoni was one of two Arts & Social Sciences' students who took part in this year's competition, speaking on 'Disability Inclusive Budgeting: Enabling people with disabilities to have a say in Indonesia's development planning'. Muhammed Ourang also spoke on 'Saving Endangered Languages'.

For more information on the event, please see here. If you would like to hear the individual talks, please see here for Antoni's talk, here for Muhammed's, and UNSWTV for all others.
