UNSW provides a variety of scholarships and awards for new students.

Our scholarships recognise excellence and encourage potential. Some are general to UNSW and others are specific to Arts & Social Sciences programs.

Explorer Award - $10,000 (high achieving students)
Alfred and Dorothymay Anderson Scholarship - $6000 (Science/Education)
Alumni Education Award - $2000 (high achievers, two awards available)
Choonpa Honours Scholarship in Korean Studies - $5000 (Korean Studies)
Chris Mumbulla & Supporters Indigenous Award - $3000 (Performing Arts)
David McDowell Award - $2000 (rural students, two awards available)
Elizabeth C. Ainsworth Award - $2500 (Social Work)
Esme Woods Awards - $2000 (Bachelor of Arts, two awards available)
Norman Hardy Scholarship - $3500 (high achievers, two scholarships available)
Malcolm Cole Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Performing Arts Scholarship - $2400 (Performing Arts)
Mitchell History Award - $2000 (History)
Mitsui Matsushima Australia Japanese Studies Award - $5000 (Japanese Studies, four awards available)
Music Supporter Student Performance Scholarship - $1000 (Music)
Richard Munz Award in Music - $2000 (Music)
STGA Undergraduate Award in Education - $2500 (Education, three awards available)
STGA Undergraduate Award in Dance -$2500 (Dance, four awards available)
Undergraduate Award in Education - $3000 (Education, five awards available)
Undergraduate Social Work Award - $2500 (Social Work, four awards available)
UNSW Music Scholarship - $20,000 (high achievers and musical ability)
