Honours Study

Honours at UNSW Arts & Social Sciences

Are you passionate about your area of study?

Are you curious, creative and analytical?

Honours is your opportunity to generate new knowledge and understanding for current and future generations.

UNSW Arts & Social Sciences offers one year full time advanced undergraduate Honours degrees for high achieving students.

Honours is available for students who have completed an undergraduate degree in a relevant UNSW degree program, as well as students who have completed a recognised Bachelor degree or equivalent at another institution.

The program allows you to complete a stand-alone Honours year (48 units of credit) in the discipline area you studied within your Bachelor degree. Our Honours programs may be completed either full-time or part-time.

Develop your research skills

Honours study enables you to connect your undergraduate study with the opportunity to embark on a significant independent research project and advanced coursework study.

An Honours year will advance your analytical and research skills, deepen your knowledge of your discipline area, and allow you to find solutions to complex social and global problems with intellectual independence.

It is your pathway into a graduate research degree, including a Master of Research or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
