UNSW Sydney is pleased to host the 41st AFSAAP Annual Conference:

Africa in Transition: Governance, Society and Culture

The conference brings together Africanist scholars from across the globe and is presented by the African Studies Association of Australasia and the Pacific (AFSAAP). This year’s event will also see local South Sudanese and other African communities come together for discussion and dialogue lead by community leaders.

For UNSW Staff

UNSW staff are invited to visit the Colombo Building foyer to view a variety of exhibits and events that will be held during the conference. Exhibitors include the African Books Collective who will also be presenting a number of book talks throughout the event, and Ameru Coffee who will be providing a variety of Kenyan coffee as well as African jewellery and crafts.

UNSW staff will be provided access by showing their ID card at the door.
