This paper presents early findings from the ‘Fair Shares and Families’ study, which is designed to offer insight into how children participate in decisions and processes of intra-household sharing; how family socio-economic status relates to resource allocation patterns and practices; and how different patterns of resource allocation, along with socio-economic status, relate to children’s and parents’ subjective well-being.

The only study of its type, Flux is a national online cohort study that examines prevalence, incidence, and factors associated with drug use over time among GBM interviewed six-monthly at follow-up. This seminar will examine drug use in the cohort, including the associations with both initiation and cessation at follow-up.

Examining interview data from an ARC Discovery Project on queer youth support and belonging across two generations, this presentation accounts for the digital emergence of “micro-minority” taxonomies of sexual/gender identity, theorising new social practices in terms of digital affordances, while presenting a framework for understanding the implications of new, meaningful languages of identity categorisation for social theory.
