Study With Us

The School of Education specialises in research and teacher education at the pre-service and in-service levels. We place a particular focus on secondary and higher education, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice, hinged on current and relevant research. Our comprehensive network of educators, practitioners and researchers are leading experts in their field. They hold the insight and experience to equip you for success throughout your education career path.

Our undergraduate degrees provide students with foundational knowledge in education, with the opportunity to specialise in arts, science, music, commerce and more. Our preservice Bachelor of Education can be combined as a double degree with a range of various undergraduate degrees.

Honours is an extra year of study that combines aspects of undergraduate study with those of postgraduate research. Students develop their research skills and deepen their understanding in the subject area of their choice.

We offer a range of postgraduate coursework, from intensive pre-service teaching programs to advanced degrees for experienced educationalists. Our programs are specifically designed to support students in their transition into first year teaching and to nurture future leaders of the profession.

Research is a vital aspect of the School of Education and we're ranked in the top three universities in Australia for specialist studies in education. Our students experience training that enables them to carry out their own research programs and publish in leading academic journals.
