Interventions to Address Methamphetamines in Aboriginal Communities

Past project

This research project will provide urgently needed information on nature and extent of methamphetamine use in Aboriginal communities, including its impact on individuals and communities, and the context in which use occurs in communities. This study is a first to develop and trial community-tailored and relevant primary health care interventions much required for the Aboriginal population. We will also develop a web-based clinical intervention, specifically tailored to Aboriginal communities, which can be used to improve treatment coverage in regional and remote areas where there is currently a severe shortage of capacity to treatment methamphetamine use (or other drug use).
