Film studies at UNSW

UNSW student Norman Chella

Film Studies at UNSW is one of the most comprehensive and rigorous Film Studies programs in Australia. The student experience is enhanced with access to student film and video production groups, an exciting research culture, and partnerships with film and media organisations including the Sydney Film Festival.

Screen and sound production

In 2015 UNSW Arts & Social Sciences introduced the new Bachelor of Media (Screen and Sound Production) where students develop professional skills which are relevant to today's media industry, including:

  • interactive media

Watch UNSW Media (Screen and Sound Production) graduate Jelena Sinik's final year animation 'My Country' which was selected as a finalist for the 2014 ATOM (Australian Teachers of Media) Awards for Best Tertiary Animation, and has been awarded "official selection" status in sixteen national and international film and animation festivals.
