* iCinema
The iCinema Centre for Interactive Cinema Research is a joint venture of the College of Fine Arts, Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. It brings together researchers and postgraduate students in new media, aesthetics, cinematic theory, multimedia design, computer science, cognitive science, software/hardware engineering and mining virtual reality.

* The UNSW Initiative for Health and Human Rights (IHHR)
The NewSouth Global Chair of Health and Human Rights is Prof. Daniel Tarantola. The Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Law and Medicine collaborate in this interdisciplinary initiative on Health, Development and Human Rights.

* The Crime and Justice Research Network is an interdisciplinary initiative in criminology, which brings together academics, researchers and students from across the University of New South Wales and beyond with an interest in the area of crime and justice.
It is the initiative of the NewSouth Global Chair in Criminology, Professor Chris Cunneen.
- The NewSouth Global Chair in Criminology is a joint appointment between the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences and Law.
