Associate Professor Edward Scheer appointed President, Performance Studies International

A/Prof Edward Scheer

Associate Professor Edward Scheer from the School of English, Media and Performing Arts is the first Australian to be elected as president of Performance Studies international (PSi), the leading international academic association for performance studies.

Founded in New York in 1997 to promote communication and exchange between scholars and practitioners working in the field of performance, PSi has more than 700 members worldwide.

Professor Scheer will take up the post at the PSi annual conference in November 2007, hosted by the Department of Performance Studies, Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
