Outbound Exchange

Student’s of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences are encouraged complete an international exchange at one of our partner universities for one or two semesters as part of their degree. UNSW has links with over 130 universities across the globe. Exchange provides a unique opportunity to bring to life your studies – students could take Chinese Studies electives in Beijing or Politics classes in Washington DC. It also provides students with international experience highly regarded by employers.

Inbound Exchange

We welcome hundreds students from across the globe to our Faculty each year. Many of our courses such as Aboriginal Studies and Australian Studies are of particular interest to international exchange students.

Bachelor of International Studies

As part of the Bachelor of International Studies program students complete a one-year Overseas Study Program (OSP) at an approved partner university. The OSP gives students a unique chance to consolidate their studies and provides an invaluable experience of other cultures, languages and peoples.

Global Village

In mid-year break Arc, the student organisation, arranges teams of students to travel to Malaysia and Thailand and build houses for families in need. They spend the first week building and helping in the construction of homes for families in need. The rest of time, is spent travelling the country, enjoying the culture, getting to know the locals and generally having a fantastic time.
