Fees and Costs
Fees for courses are charged by the Unit of Credit (UOC) according to the classification of the course (undergraduate, postgraduate, or research) and the student (local or international). Eligible students are able to pay or defer the payment of fees through HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP.
See the fee schedule of courses offered by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Commonwealth Supported Places and HECS-HELP
A Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) is a higher education place for which the Commonwealth makes a contribution towards the cost of a student's education. Students pay a student contribution amount (previously known as a HECS charge), which varies depending on courses undertaken.
Student contributions are paid either up-front or are deferred and paid later through the tax system. HECS-HELP loans are available to eligible students enrolled in Commonwealth supported places. A HECS-HELP loan will cover all or part of the student contribution amount. The options available for paying student contributions will depend on citizenship or residency status.
