Where is FASS located on campus?
FASS is located in three buildings on the Kensington Campus:
- The Sir Robert Webster building (on mid-campus) is a purpose built space that houses the high tech discipline of Media, the performance space of Music and Theatre, Film and Dance and the National Centre for HIV Social Research.
- The Morven Brown building on upper campus houses the traditional humanities and social sciences disciplines.
- The professional disciplines of Education and Social Work are located in the Matthews building on upper campus.
What are some of the FASS facilities on campus?
- Computer labs are located in all three buildings providing ease of access.
- New secure area for first year research students with 24 hour computer access, lounge, kitchen and dedicated workstations.
- Performance space includes:
2 purpose built dance studios
Fully operational public theatre (Io Myers Theatre)
Student performance space (used by the student theatrical society - NUTS)
- A state of the art electronic music laboratory
- A music recording studio
- Video edit suits
- Sound laboratories
- Cinema for film and video viewing
- High tech recording studio for video and film productions
- Multimedia laboratories
- Language laboratories for learning, translation and interpreting.
