Conference Mailing Lists

We will be doing as much communicating as we can by email, using the AAPAE Emailing list.

The AAPAE emailing list, called aapae-l, is run from UNSW. It is set up so that only subscribers to the list can post messages to it (which are then forwarded by the list to all other subscribers.) Apart from its use in other AAPAE work, the list will be the main communication tool for the 1998 Annual Conference: if you are even considering coming to the conference, please be sure to subscribe to the list. (You can always unsubscribe later if you want to.)

with nothing in the subject line and nothing but subscribe aapae-l youremailaddress in the body of the message. (It's best to turn off your signature, for this message.) Shortly you will get a response telling you all sorts of useful things about aapae-l.

To send email to the list for forwarding to all the other members of the list, simply send it to aapae-l@explode.unsw.edu.au. (Remember, you have to subscribe to the list before you can post messages to it.)

To find out things about the list, to subscribe and unsubscribe etc, send email to majordomo@explode.unsw.edu.au. The standard majordomo commands work. If you don't know what they are, send a message with the text help . (Remember to turn off your signature.)
